The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state are experiencing bad weather with the temperature breaching the 40 degree Celsius at several places in many places in both the states and the people are suffering from heat burns and the weather condition has left with acute shortage of drinking water and unscheduled power outages.


Seven of the 10 districts in Telangana and four districts in Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh have turned into a virtual cauldron with places like Medak, Nizamabad, Ramagunda, and Kurnool have recorded 43 degrees and Anantapur with 44 degrees. The coastal AP was relatively cooler with many places seeing temperature below 40 degrees.


Few parts of karimnagar district have received heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and lightning. The Telugu state has been experiencing heat wave like conditions quite earlier this summer season and about 50 people were falling to sunstroke last month. Most of the victims were laborers and petty traders.


However it is cautioned people to take precautions before moving out in the hot sun. Usually high temperatures are recorded during May month and this time the heat is prevailing from April onwards. The moisture content in the atmosphere has also disappeared due to dry winds and scanty rainfall in the last two monsoons. This year the presummer rainfall was also not there.
