On April 10th a minor mishap has happened and a defunct aircraft of Air India was damaged when it has fallen from a crane which was transporting at Begumpet Airport on Sunday morning and no one was injured in the incident as the A320 has hit a boundary wall and has fallen in the ground. The official has told that the hull can be used for training purposes at the Central Training Establishment Air of India.


The aircraft officials were transporting the A320 aircraft from the Begumpet Airport to the nearby Central Training Establishment, which is the Air India’s training academy. The Air India officials have told that the old hull which was stationed at the airport was being moved to make enough space at the hanger and to make use of the hull at the Central Training Establishment.


The national carrier has told that all necessary procedures and planning are required for the removal of the hull which was in place. The crane has lost the balance when the hull has become unstable and fell on the ground, but the aircraft was taken out successfully and such incident happens which is beyond the control.


The Begumpet Airport which is located in Hyderabad is mainly used for VIP flights, air show and training since 2007. The commercial operations are presently shifted to the new international airport which is situated at Shamabad which is 30 kms away from the city.
