Traditionally, in Andhra Pradesh, the congress and Telugu Desam Party are arch rivals and from many years they are doing their best to out-beat each other and gain power. But politics is one field where there are no permanent enemies or friends. When situation demands, everyone joins hands.
That seems to be the situation with the way both Congress and TDP have been behaving in terms of the coop polls and nominated posts. According to sources it is heard that the leaders of both parties have been working in tandem so that the seats can be shared between both sides.
The results of these polls are an indication to the power of these parties and it is also about prestige because losing in these low level elections would mean a lot of humiliation. It is heard that wherever congress is sure of losing they are taking help of traditional TDP vote banks and vice-versa. That’s how politics works!
