There are rumours doing rounds that TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been contemplating fielding a fourth candidate during the forthcoming Rajya Sabha elections from his party in Andhra Pradesh. The chosen one remains to be a suspense though.

Elections are being held for the four Rajya Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh in June. If one goes by the numerical strength in AP Assembly, then TDP is expected to get three seats and YSR Congress party will be getting one.

As per the calculations, each candidate needs votes of 42 MLAs. However, sources say Naidu is playing his cards shrewdly to make sure that they deny the fourth seat to Jagan’s party and take it into the kitty of TDP by fielding a fourth candidate. This is going to be a crucial strategy.

Sources say that former minister Aadala Prabhakar Reddy, a very rich contractor might be contesting the RS elections as the fourth candidate by TDP and it is upto him to spend good deal of money on luring more of Jagan’s candidates. If he is successful in this mission, Jagan's fort will collapse.
