Telangana’s Minister for Roads and Buildings Thummala Nageshwar Rao
has again started proving that that he is no less headstrong when
compared to this boss and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. The situation was the
same even when he was part of the Telugu Desam Party.
Thummala
stunningly declared that he would not be supporting the candidature of
Telangana Minister K T Rama Rao, the son of KCR, as the state’s next
Chief Minister. He made these comments in an interview to a prominent TV
channel. This has sparked some concerns in political circles.
The
former TDP man reportedly said he is against hereditary politics and
hence he is against KTR being touted as the heir apparent of KCR. He
vowed to stand by KCR as the Chief Minister, but definitely not KTR. The
reason behind this statement is yet to be ascertained.
He
finally attempted little damage control knowing that what he said might
trigger a political storm in the party. Thummala tried to cool tempers
saying KTR can become CM if he really has the ability than using his
father’s image! It has to be seen how KTR is going to respond to this.
