On March 24 the Jubilee Hills police had arrested Uday Kiran at Daspalla hotel for damaging the windscreen of a parked car and breaking the window panes of the hotel in a drunken condition. Uday Kiran who is 31 has acted in a few Tollywood movies which include 'Parare', 'Fracebook', 'Rakshakulu' and 'Yuvarajyam'.
The Jubilee Hills police have booked Tollywood actor Nanduri Uday Kiran under the Preventive Detention (PD) Act on Monday. He was sent in judicial remand and was currently lodged at Chanchalguda central prison.
The Banjara Hills ACP Uday Kumar Reddy has said that Uday Kiran was arrested multiple times by Jubilee Hills, Madhapur and Kakinada police for narcotics peddling, harassing women, cheating and assault offences.
The ACP has said that the actor is a native of Kakinada and he has involved in about 10 offences in the two Telugu speaking states and there is also a history sheet opened against Uday at Kakinada and a notice was served to him at Chanchalguda prison and now he will remain in the prison for a year.
