Well, the Telugu Desam Party seems to be almost succeeding in its attempts to block YSRCP's boss Jagan’s trusted aide Vijaya Sai Reddy’s entry into the Rajya Sabha. With its existing numbers, YSRCP was entitled for a single Rajya Sabha seat whereas TDP will get three.
However, the mass exodus of YSR Congress MLAs which is only growing with each day into TDP may now ensure that the only Rajya Sabha seat of YSRCP will likely go for TDP. As of now, 13 MLAs of Jagan camp have joined TDP. The numbers are expected to increase further.
There are 3 more MLA’s ready to jump in next three days. They are Srisailam MLA, Budda Rajasekhar Reddy followed by Addanki MLA, Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Araku MLA, Kidari. They are also key members of YSRCP who are reportedly vexed with Jagan's rigidity and feudal dictum.
Jagan has more or less given up the job of convincing because no matter what now he understood that he cannot stop those who have already made up their minds. He has reportedly told Vijay Sai Reddy that since he is the contender for RS seat, he should attempt to retain MLA’s by himself!
