In the most unexpected manner, the Telangana CM KCR known for his sudden decision has sprung a big surprise with his sudden cabinet shuffle. The promotion planned for his son, KTR was not a surprise but demotions for two trusted lieutenants was a surprise.

The crucial mining portfolio has been taken away from KCR's nephew Harish Rao. TRS sources have said that it was Harish who requested this for decreasing the work burden but those with even slight political knowledge are finding it difficult to believe it was his request.
The biggest surprise was removing the crucial Commercial Taxes portfolio from former TDP leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav wherein he was given some non-important portfolios like Fisheries, Dairy development etc. Fortunately, he has still retained the Cinematography portfolio.
No doubt it is Talasani who has become the most vocal voice from KCR’s cabinet especially when fighting with TDP on the issues related to Telangana. But KCR has now mercilessly demoted him and this is seen as KCR’s punishment regarding Talasani’s son and his followers who have been resorting to corruption making use of his Commercial taxes portfolio.
