Health and Medical Education Minister says “EAMCET will be held as scheduled”.The state Health and Medical Education Minister Kamineni Srinivas has told that Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) will be held on Friday as per its schedule.

The Supreme Court 


The Supreme Court has cleared the decks for holding of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), a single common entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses, in two phases for the academic year 2016-17 in which around 6.5 Lakhs candidates are likely to appear for the examinations.


The minister has said that the Supreme Court has given a judgment for national level exam for medical studies and it will be decided based on the final outcome of the judgment. States like Andhra Pradesh possess special protection under Article 371D and the AP EAMCET exam that comprises MBBS, veterinary, agriculture and BDS, will be conducted on Friday without any change.Kamineni has also said that recently 1,400 posts of doctors and 1,000 posts of nurses were filled and another 500 posts of doctors would be filled soon and the minister has said that ten primary healths centre each costing Rs 1.18 crores would be constructed in East Godavari district.
