Already things are not looking that rosy for the Congress in Telangana. They are paying a very dear price for the unreasonable bifurcation of AP. The party has been trying in vain to secure win in the Paler by-election with the sympathy factor from Ramreddy Venkat Reddy’s untimely demise.
But the ruling TRS party as part of continuing its Operation Akarsha technique is all set to hit the morale of the party ahead of the elections. Recently one MLA and one MLC from the Congress defected to the TRS. The situation is going to continue for some more time with few more defections.
Sources say that TRS is now in talks with Congress Senior Leader and also its MLC, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy. Ponguleti reportedly tried to attend a meeting of Congress MLAs yesterday and PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy reportedly questioned him as to why he is attending the meeting of MLAs.
Sources say Ponguleti alleged that this is an insult to him after actually inviting him to the meeting. The stage now looks set for Ponguleti to jump the fence ahead of the Paler by-election. If this happens then it is trouble for Congress. The voting for this election will happen on May 16th.
