No one knows whether the YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been
getting any support for his loud “Save Democracy” campaign in New
Delhi, but finally he has earned some form of sympathetic response back
home in AP from Pradesh Congress Committee chief Raghuveera Reddy.
The
senior leader Raghuveera had come down heavily recently on Telugu Desam
Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for
taking up large scale poaching of opposition party MLAs, which he had
termed as highly unethical and immoral.
Raghuveera
reportedly alleged that Naidu is poaching the YSRCP MLAs only to secure
the fourth Rajya Sabha seat in the upcoming elections. He termed the
defecting MLAs as nothing but worse than “beggars”. The other reason is
to ensure YSRCP has no existence in AP.
He also
appealed to them to immediately resign from their Assembly membership
and ensure they get elected again. Ironically, if any party has affected
Congress more in AP, it is Jagan who roped in many Congress leaders and
weakened the party. Now he is only getting support from Congress!
