The L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail on May 4th a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro which is implementing the Rs 16,000-crore has elevated metro rail project here, and has said the work is anticipated to be delayed by almost 18 months.


The MD and CEO of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (LTMRHL), V B Gadgil has told the media broadcasters that the present projection is that they are likely to complete the project by December 2018 and earlier it was projected that we would be able to complete it by July 2017.


Meanwhile S N Subrahmanyan the Deputy Managing Director and President of L&T and Chairman of LTMRHL has said they are in discussions with the government on the delay and possible financial implications on the project.


The company has so far pumped in Rs 9,000 crores into the project which includes Rs 2,700 crores equity component, a senior official of LTMRHL has told this by adding the project constructing a 72-km elevated metro rail and development of retail space.
