Sources have stated that about 50 students who were appearing for the online admission test to the English and Foreign Languages University on Thursday were not allowed to enter the exam hall 30 minutes before the exam began and the Students said that the instructions about the examination timing on their hall tickets were unclear.


The EFLU which received more than 8,500 applications for 31 programs has made the admission process online and had set up eight exam centers across the country. Students were left helpless after they weren't allowed to enter the exam hall in Nacharam even 25 minutes before the examination began.


Sandeep Rebally, an MA English aspirant has come to the centre by 8:35 am and was stopped by the officials citing that the gates were closed by 8:30 am and the instructions on the hall ticket has stated that they won't be allowed 30 minutes before the start of the exam time and when it was questioned the controller of examination has refused to resolve their problem.


The exam was scheduled to be held at 9 AM but the Students have demanded that the college must conduct the exam again for those who couldn't appear for it and it further has warned that students who are going to appear for the PhD program exam which is to be held on May 7 must enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam begins and late comers will strictly not be allowed.
