The Centre has informed the Supreme Court its decision of revoking central rule in the state of Uttarakhand. This has paved way for the restoration of the Harish Rawat’s government within 24 hours of Congress convincingly securing the SC-mandated floor test.

The Centre revoked 41 day-old presidential proclamation which was first issued on March 27. The Congress government got 33 of the 61 votes cast and now Modi’s act of dismissing Rawat's government and placing assembly under suspended animation is being despised even by BJP fans.

The open vindication of Congress party’s numerical support is being seen as major setback to the Modi government and the BJP. The Uttarakhand operation is now being seen as misadventure! This could perhaps be the first big wrong move since Modi took over as the Prime Minister.

Moreover, the manner in which Modi has been silent on special status for Andhra Pradesh is also being seen by national media keenly which is usually not that close to him. Something needs to be done quickly regarding AP. In all ways, the recent events by Modi are being seen as disgrace.
