Well for the first time ever in history, the TDP, Congress and
YSRCP have all come together for one cause of defeating the TRS party in
the Paler by elections. The poll here was necessitated due to the death
of sitting Congress MLA Ramireddy Venkat Reddy.
The
Congress party is fielding Venkat Reddy's wife Sucharitha Reddy in this
election while both YSRCP and TDP are staying away as a mark of respect
and they have also decided to support her. However, the TRS has not
bowed down to that sentiment and are contesting.
The
TRS has fielded Tummala Nageswara Rao, a Kamma due to sizeable Kamma
presence in the district. Now people are witnessing a rare spectacle
where mainly Congress and TDP cadre are canvassing for the Congress
candidate. This is perhaps the first time it is happening.
From
his end, IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KTR is quite confident of
winning Paler while the opposition is also working overtime to halt the
victory streak of TRS. Congress has won Paler seat 11 times until now
and any good news in elections will boost TDP-Congress alliance here!
