Andhra Pradesh BJP’s Incharge Siddharthnath Singh has reportedly
alleged that the funds released by the Center for Polavaram are being
diverted to other projects such as Pattiseema. He also added that
currently an audit has been going on over this.
However
this is nothing but a hollow claim as Central government hasn’t even
reimbursed half of the amount which had been spent by AP government
regarding the project. Central government has only sanctioned 100 Crore
each for the project during last two budgets.
The
state government has so far spent about 2000 crore for the Pattiseema
project. But center is yet to even given 1000 crores for Polavaram and
many are asking where is the question of diversion. This is a blatant
violation of promises and assurances made by the BJP government.
The
Saffron brigade seems to be focused more on countering the criticism
from TDP leaders than answering the public. Moreover, TDP leaders say
BJP under Modi is not BJP under Vajpayee and there are less friends for
them. They say BJP is only making a self goal.
