It is already reported that there are around seven union ministers
who will be retiring from the Rajya Sabha in next three months including
Venkaiah Naidu. Out of this five are all set to return to upper house,
while the rest two are facing full opposition within the party.
They
are Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Commerce Minister
Nirmala Sitharaman, considered close to Chandrababu Naidu. It is being
said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and some other leaders of
BJP are not that keen when it comes to giving another term to Naidu.
At
the same time Sitharaman is currently Rajya Sabha member from Andhra
Pradesh, where there are four seats falling vacant. Recently when
Chandrababu met Modi, Babu expected Modi to ask for one Rajya Sabha seat
and hence this will hint about continuation of alliance.
But
Babu was disappointed and even Nirmala met him at AP Bhawan to know
about her future. But suddenly sources say Amit Shah has passed message
to TDP leaders that they might seek renomination of Nirmala from AP.
This is a broader hint that BJP will continue to be with TDP!
