There have been few speculations for last few weeks that what will
be the consequences if and when the BJP-TDP alliance breaks up. It is
already known that the TDP MP from Narasaraopet and the Tobacco baron
Rayapati Sambasiva Rao has already warned the BJP.
It
will be suffering losses if it severs the ties with TDP. Rayapati
lashed out against the BJP MLC Somu Veerraju for his unsavoury comments
against the TDP regarding Amaravati, special package and many other
issues. His statements were supported by many locals.
Even
BJP leaders also state on the record that Veerraju was unnecessarily
interfering in all the issues which are leading to a rift between the
TDP and the BJP. Many hope that still the BJP and the TDP should be
sailing together and some action should be taken against someone like
Veerraju.
Political analysts say that the BJP
will be the biggest loser if the alliance breaks and they cannot do much
in Telangana either. Hence after all the recent storm, in mutual
interest, some say compromise is being worked out to tone down the
rhetoric which was seen recently.
