Even after the state bifurcation, the YSRCP unit of Andhra Pradesh
has been operating from Jagan’s Lotus Pond residence located in
Hyderabad. They shut down the old office as part of the cost cutting
measures following 2014 elections and hence shifted to Lotus Pond.
Meanwhile
the ruling TDP has started shifting of its party affairs slowly in
phases to AP long back. Sensing the urgent and immediate need for shift,
the YSRCP boss Jagan mohan Reddy has reportedly decided to shift the
party meetings now to Andhra Pradesh.
Sources
from YSRCP reveal that very soon, all of the party meetings will happen
only in Vijayawada itself. In this regard the first meeting of YSR
Congress in Vijayawada involving the state level party organization
meeting will reportedly happen on June 6th.
If
Rajya Sabha elections happens unanimously, then the meeting will
actually happen on 6th as planned. But this move is seen as much
necessitated as TDP has already moved to AP and moreover YSRCP’s
Telangana unit is no more existing, hence the shift to Vijayawada
assumes significance.
