If the news from political circles are to be believed, Telangana
Rashtra Samiti and BJP will be most likely be forging an alliance even
before the Rajya Sabha elections that would be held on June 11th. TRS Chief and Telangana CM KCR is playing all his cards over two Rajya Sabha seats.
It
is being said that PM Narendra Modi in his recent meeting with KCR
reportedly asked the CM to spare a seat for one BJP nominee. This means
that TRS may join the NDA government and KCR’s daughter, Kavitha may get
a cabinet berth. This would be a win-win situation for both.
However
it is also true that such move might sour all the relations between TDP
and TRS as well. TDP and BJP are already locking horns with Center
refusing Special Status to the state. TDP chief Chandrababu already
revealed that BJP did not seek any Rajya Sabha seat.
TRS
sources say Modi may have asked KCR for a seat but again the Chief
Minister did not seem to commit. KK represents TRS in Rajya Sabha now
and KCR wants two of his people there soon! This Rajya Sabha seat may
well be creating a new bonding between TRS and BJP.
