Currently the Andhra Pradesh government had come up with the idea of interim secretariat as it has sensed that the Central government is not positive to help it build capital even though the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act mandates it to do so.
The interim secretariat construction is happening at brisk pace and the government is keen to finish the administration shift by June 27th. However CRDA confirmed that they cannot accommodate since they are only G+ 1 construction.
Meanwhile various central departments have started sending applications to the state government and CRDA to allot Office Space in the interim secretariat. The state government had called for tenders worth 370 Crore for interior works, Roads, drinking water and other amenities to the interim secretariat.
The CRDA has clarified that the interim secretariat is only for the state government departments and central departments will be accommodated in the capital buildings which will begin at the earliest.
