It is already known that BJP National President Amit Shah made a phone call to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and invited his presence for the oath taking ceremony of Assam’s new Chief Minister. This is being seen as a positive move.
BJP
extended an invitation to all of the NDA Chief Ministers to this event.
Sources say that Amit Shah reportedly asked Babu to renominate Nirmala
Sitharaman. Naidu seems to have promised to get back once the
consultations are over in the party.
There are
reports that Naidu may have no option but to accommodate Nirmala
Sitharaman because of political compulsions with the BJP and various
needs which will be arising from the Center. Having Nirmala Sitharaman
once again would result in larger benefits for him and the state.
Now
TDP will end up with just two seats. It was TDP which had nominated her
to Rajya Sabha for a term of 2 years when N Janardhan Reddy expired.
But there is also immense pressure on Naidu not to extend support. But
Babu is relieved as BJP plans to continue alliance!
