Power of social media cannot be underestimated and many get influenced with the posts. Political parties and leaders for quite sometime remained averse to social media. However BJP from the beginning started using social media and other technological innovations to its advantage much to the surprise of opposition parties like Congress.


Now almost all parties are using social media and none can beat PM Narendra Modi in using social media to his advantage. He is extremely active on Facebook and Twitter and shares all important decisions on it. He even forced all his cabinet ministers to be active on social media and the results could be seen by all. 


PM Modi government completed two years at office and celebrated the occasion in a grand manner yesterday. Now PM Modi created another record on social media. According to the latest Modi is the second most liked leader on Facebook.
Social network released the list of most liked leaders and PM Modi is next only to US President Barack Obama. He is followed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Modi's Facebook post on May 15 with his mother at his official residence at Delhi's Race Course Road remains on top with 1.6 million likes, 1.2 lakh shares and 34,000 comments.


47 of Modi's 50 cabinet ministers have verified Facecbook presence. Top performing minister on Facebook include Home Minister Rajnath Singh, HRD minister Smriti Zubin Irani, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Food processing minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal.


Modi on an average phave 2.8 posts per day on facecbook. According to Facecbook The Prime Minister paying homage to former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is his third most popular post. Other popular posts include 'Make In India', 'Digital India' and 'Skill India'.
