Currently the former union minister and Congress spokesperson RPN Singh has demanded Modi to respond on corruption allegations relating to the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC) project.

RPN Singh has told that earlier Modi did not say a word on Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, or the PDS scam in Chhattisgarh or mining scam of Rajasthan and every time the excuse was there were no direct charges on the PM so why should he respond and presently in the GSPC project, the corruption allegations are against him.

Ramesh has questioned Modi's role in selection of GSPC partners, the company's overseas acquisitions that had to be ultimately surrendered as the company lacked exploration and earlier the allegations were first made by another former union minister and Congressman Jairam Ramesh last week.

Meanwhile GSPC was yet to produce even one cubic feet of natural gas, Rs 20,000 crores were borrowed from a consortium of 15 public sector banks were diverted to the project claiming discovery of 20 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the KG basin during 2005.
