Soon the backward districts of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam will be getting some development. This is the opinion of various political parties. While stating the sanction of third railway line between Vizianagaram and Titlagarh, they ensure the railway zone will get overall progress.

Centre would spend a sum of Rs.2335 Crores for third railway line covering 264 Kms.  Former MP Botcha Sathyanarayana said, "It is the responsibility of the Central government to sanction separate railway zone with Visakhapatnam as headquarters as promised in the A.P. Reorganization Act.

I agree that this new railway line is a Welcome note, but it is not everything. Employment opportunities can be created in north Andhra only if the railway zone is sanctioned." MP Ram Mohan said, "Many industries would come if cargo facility is available in backward areas.

So that's the reason TDP is looking for separate railway zone with Visakhapatnam as headquarters. We will continue to highlight the issue in Parliament." YSR Congress president Reddi Shanti said this separate Railway zone will help students from Srikakulam district to a greater extent.
