There are reports surfacing in media that the Telangana government
is contemplating demolishing the existing Secretariat building in the month of August due to so called Vaastu errors. Sources say that CM K
Chandrasekhar Rao will be laying the foundation stone for the new
secretariat during auspicious days.
He is
reportedly targeting to complete the construction of this new
secretariat within one year’s time. The officials have reportedly
started making alternative arrangements to house other secretariat
departments. And the required machinery is also getting ready.
Some
of the departments would be reportedly accommodated in the vacant HOD
offices. Government advisers will be getting a work from home option for
this one year. The CMO and General Administration Department will be
accommodated temporarily at Boorgula Rama Krishna Rao Bhavan.
Even
Expotel Hotel in Lower Tank Bund or the Marri Chenna Reddy HRD Bhavan
is being considered. All this will happen as many sections are going to
be vacated by Andhra Pradesh government’s departments due to the
impending shift to Amaravathi. This is going to be a big process though.
