According to a latest survey by VDP Associates it is being predicted that the ruling parties in both the Telugu States are still dominating even after two years of being in power. In Andhra Pradesh, TDP is at the top slot with 44%. YSR Congress comes second with a vote share of 37%.

Things may not have changed much in two years and at the same time TDP gained marginally. BJP has gone to bottom of the table with 2% vote share while Congress has reportedly come closer 7%. In Telangana, it looks like TRS has further consolidated its position.

It would be getting a whopping 52% vote share, which only shows how he is growing from strength to strength after the 2014 elections. The main opposition Congress Party gets second place with 20%. BJP only has 9% while TDP (TS) further comes down to a paltry 5%.

The survey says both the ruling parties are somehow succeeding in keeping the people happy. The alliance of TDP and BJP is being seen as a liability for both the parties. However, there is some time for the 2019 elections to take place and if a strong opposition can emerge then things can change.
