YSR Congress made a surprise move just before the closing time of
nominations for Rajya Sabha elections and made to file one more
nomination. This is not to be competing with the TDP for securing one
more seat. Sunandha Reddy, who is Auditor Vijaya Sai Reddy’s wife has
reportedly filed her nomination.
She will
become a dummy candidate for her husband. There were some legal experts
who have reportedly advised Jagan that Vijaya Sai Reddy may face
problems due to all the pending cases on him. Hence to be on the safe
side, his wife has also filed nomination.
If
Vijaya Sai Reddy’s nomination is suddenly declined, then Sunandha Reddy
would be party’s candidate for the post. If his nomination is cleared,
then Sunandha Reddy will be withdrawing her nomination. Either ways,
Jagan would be safe now because of the two nominations.
YSR
Congress is now hopeful of Vijaya Sai Reddy clearing this hurdle. Since
TDP has fielded three candidates only, YSR Congress candidate would be
elected unopposed. As much as everything looks clear but then Jagan’s
fear is very evident with this move!
