As per the latest news from Chennai in a major shuffle of senior bureaucrats, the Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday has transferred K. Gnanadesikan and has posted P. Rama Mohana Rao as Chief Secretary and Mr. Rao would also hold full additional charge of Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner for Administrative Reforms.
Mr. Gnanadesikan would be appointed as the chairman and managing director of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), according to a GO of the Public Department and Santha Sheela Nair has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Chief Minister's Office.
It is also stated that following the transfers, K.N. Venkataramanan, Shiv Das Meena, S. Vijayakumar and A. Ramalingam would function as Secretary-I, Secretary-II, Secretary-III and Secretary-IV to the Chief Minister respectively.
It is also added that the transfers which was made on Wednesday are the first major shuffle of IAS officers since the AIADMK was re-elected to power in the May 16, 2016 Assembly polls.
