Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani and Bihar education minister Ashok Choudhary were locked in a 'War of Words', soon after the Congress leader addressed her as 'Dear'. The issue was blown out of proportion and there were complete barrage of tweets against each other.
Bihar Education Minister in a tweet referred HRD Minister as “Dear” Smriti Irani ji and said that rather than focus on politics and speeches, she should pay attention to the New Education Policy. Smriti Irani who is right now touring Bihar lashed out Choudary and asked him since when he started to address women as 'dear' ?.
She tweeted, "Mahilaon ko ‘dear’ keh ke kab se sambodhit karne lage Ashokji?" He immediately responded, "Not to disrespect but educate... Professional emails start with “dear”." He also asked Smriti Irani to answer 'Real Issues' and not go around it.
Smriti said in another tweet, "@AshokChoudhary all my communications to you or any other person start with ‘adarniya’, but since you are now communicating allow me." Smriti Irani also claimed Bihar is the worst in Education policy. The battle of words went on.
