The so called Smart Cities in India are yet to take shape but again the enthusiasm is not doing. Telangana CM KCR finally managed to get Warangal included in this list but now he has ensured Hyderabad is replaced by Karimnagar as 100 crores is no match for Hyderabad.

It will be of some real benefit to Karimnagar city. Now Union Urban Development Minister and senior BJP strongman M Venkaiah Naidu has announced that Andhra Pradesh Capital Amaravati will be included among the 100 Smart Cities list of NDA Government.

This is his first such visit to Vijayawada after being re-elected to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. BJP Leaders and their followers gave him a rousing reception at the Gannavaram airport. At a time when he faced flak regarding special status issue, this is being seen as a consolation for AP.

Current BJP chief of AP Kambhampati Haribabu has also sounded positive on Polavaram projects works saying this will be carried out through Polavaram Authority. He announced that no other state in the India is getting as much assistance from the Centre like AP in the past two years.
