Though he has been making tall statements and long claims, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu's apparent lack of commitment for the Pedalabudu panchayat in Araku region which he had adopted a year and half ago is a glaring example.

Even as a single paisa is yet to be spent on its development, now sources say the only elementary school in the panchayat was also shut down. Nearly a sum of Rs 2 crore was spent towards arrangements for the visit of Naidu to valley and for launching developmental works but he cancelled all of the four scheduled visits.

Villagers have expressed that atleast some development could have been made with that money was solely spent on laying of roads and other infrastructure here. Now with school being closed around 23 tribal students travel nearly three kilometres everyday to study at the neighbouring schools!

Babu still retains hi-tech image and he may be using that for Brand Amaravathi but again not even bothering about an adopted village by a CM is a very serious thing. Even local TDP cadre are speechless about this neglect! He is repeating the same mistake of ignoring the rural segments once again.
