Now in a shocker Subrahmanian Swamy said Congress President Sonia Gandhi tried to clamp emergency in the country.
He said in 2011-2012 Sonia Gandhi planned to impose emergency citing threats from Hindutva groups.
He added however her plan was foiled as VK.Singh,then Army chief refused to support her move. Subramanian Swamy even stated that former Union Minister Chidambaram would be sent to jail if probe was ordered in Aicel Maxis case.
Subramanian Swamy made these revelations during his interactions with scirbes on ocasion of 41st anniversary of Emergency imposed by then PM Indira Gandhi.
