The vote-for-note scandal is known for being a massive turning point in the history of Andhra Pradesh’s politics after bifurcation. Chandrababu Naidu after being caught red-handed, stopped speaking of section 8 in Hyderabad and immediately decided to move stock and barrel towards Amaravati.
Although this cause a huge setback to the TDP’s existence in Telangana region, it has come as a blessing in disguise for AP after bifurcation. At a time when Naidu was still focused completely on Telangana, this scam alerted Babu to seek refuge in own state.
AP was neglected because of Naidu’s attention becoming fully focused on Telangana. Many felt that Andhra Pradesh cannot see any development unless the administration is shifted and it finally took the vote-for-note scam to make this happen.
The government employees for whom Hyderabad was home for decades, were
averse but now they are all shifting. Vijayawada has now got the true capital look with booming people, trade and revenue and they can’t thank enough KCR and Revanth Reddy for this!
