Sources have stated that a junior college aspirant with a score of 99.8% in her SSC exam has not managed to land a seat anywhere in Mumbai when the first merit list was announced on Monday and the topper from a Kalyan school was shocked when she received a message on the online admission portal that she had not been allotted a seat.

She has told that with her marks she was confident of getting a seat in the college, but she was shocked to see the message pop up. According to information available from the office of the deputy director of education, Mumbai, the student's form was filled up on June 10 and 11 but was reset on June 16 and never filled again.

It was stated that on June 20, when the general merit list which ranks all the applicants according to the marks secured was announced, she did not find her name on it.

Meanwhile the school has denied having reset the form and the department officials, too, denied any mistake on their part and the student will have to wait until the end of the process.
