TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly given some key instructions to his officials. In this regard, it has been instructed not to give too much publicity for Krishna Pushkaralu, which begins during the first week of August.

Sources say that AP will not be spending much money for publicizing Krishna Pushkaralu unlike last year’s Godavari pushkaralu, due to dearth of funds. Rather the focus this time is for making fool-proof arrangements and other facilities at bathing ghats.

Babu seems to have told them in case the arrangements are good, the public by themselves will give word of mouth publicity. Babu is aware that too much publicity resulted in lakhs of people converging at Rajahmundry last year resulting in stampedes and deaths.

Moreover, at many places the ghats are not ready with key places such as Vijayawada, Amaravati, Srisailam and Vijayapuri being exceptions. Hence due to all these factors, Andhra Pradesh will not officially opt for mega publicity this time but rely on the word of mouth.
