If reports coming from Delhi are to be beloved, then it will be a very big blow to the Telangana government from Supreme Court. The controversy over the ongoing projects between Telugu States is now taking a new turn. With Supreme Court involving, it is indeed sticky.

Telangana government began Palamuru

It is known that Telangana government began Palamuru Lift and Dindi Projects without any official approval. The TRS led government has been insisting that these projects were already given a go ahead in United Andhra Pradesh. This has not gone well with the residuary AP.

Andhra Pradesh government

The Andhra Pradesh government argues that the projects require new permissions because in 2013, the then CM Kiran Kumar Reddy issued G.O.s only for the survey of the projects on Krishna and its tributaries but not for the project constructions.

Recently, the Supreme Court delivered its judgement saying these projects don’t fall under the purview of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Hence no new projects can be built unless there is permission from apex council. It has to be seen how KCR will take this forward now.
