Firing at Munich shopping centre in Germany left may dead. According to the latest a gunman ran through the mall firing on several people near the Olympic stadium in the southern German city. He later fleed in the direction of a nearby metro station. 


According to police many people were dead. Police now cordoned off the OEZ shopping mall and hot is on for the shooter. Entire Europe has been on alert following increase in terror strikes in the recent past. Munich police on twitter asked people to avoid the area with the twitter post saying "There is a major police operation under way in the shopping centre," They went on to add "Attention -- avoid the neighbourhood around the OEZ. Stay in your homes. Leave the street,"


Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere believes that the teenager appeared to ahve been inspired by the ISIS. Officials said they heard him shout 'Allahu Akbar' three times before he barged through the train carriage. The attacker is believed to be either Afghan or Pakistani and investigators are still trying to determine his identity.


The attack is increasing demands in the country for a cap on number of refugees as already a recod 1.1 million were let in to Germany last year. Employees are still hinding inside the mall. One of the employee said many shots were fired and another said police are yet to approach them. Munich transport authorities said they had halted several bus, train and tram lines. Some witness report to have watched three gunmen are on the run.
