Hyderabad sources have stated that two laborers were killed and eight others injured as an under-construction building collapsed in upscale Jubliee Hills in Hyderabad on Sunday and the two killed laborers included a woman from West Bengal.


It is added that the accident has occurred in Film Nagar, where the three store building was being built as part of the expansion of Film Nagar Cultural Centre and cement-concrete slabs for two floors were laid.


Meanwhile eight injured persons were rescued by locals soon after the collapse around 12.30 p.m was shifted to the nearby Apollo Hospital and the police, fire services and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) launched the rescue operation. 


It is also added that a GHMC official has said no permission was given for constructing the building as the land's ownership was disputed and the case was pending in the court.
