It is known news that an IAF Plane went missing. Now, reports say about eight of them from Vizag are among the 29 passengers who were aboard the Indian Air Force (IAF) AN 32 aircraft. The plane went missing on Friday morning while reaching Port Blair from Chennai on Bay of Bengal.


NAD situated in Visakhapatnam


They are reportedly civilian employees of the Indian Navy working at the Naval Armament Depot (NAD) situated in Visakhapatnam. They were expected to be carrying out repair works of the Close Range Naval (CRN-91) weapon aboard Indian Navy's fast attack craft INS Battimalv in the base at Port Blair.


They are Chargeman B Samba Murthy , Armament fitters (AF) RV Prasad Babu, Purna Chandra Senapati, P . Nagendra Rao, Trademan Mate (TMM) N Chinna Rao, Charan Maharana, and G Srinivasa Rao, as well as Examiner Bupender Singh of the Naval Armament Inspection (NAI) wing based in NAD.


The eight persons left Vizag on Wednesday and they had reached Chennai and they took the plane from Tambaram IAF base on Fridaymorning. The flight, which took off from Chennai has then subsequently went missing. The eight individuals were reportedly deputed for a 15 day period for undertaking of the defect rectification as well as checking of armaments on board the Indian Navy’s warships at Port Blair.
