There is always an interesting discussion going on regarding who is the Mahatma Gandhi of Telangana. While many say it is the TRS boss KCR, as he championed the statehood struggle with his unbeatable political strategies, there are others who differ.
Professor Kodandaram
Many people too point out that it is the TJAC boss, professor Kodandaram who is TS Gandhi as he waged apolitical struggle and is still apolitical while once TDP leader Revanth Reddy said that KCR is Telangana Nehru because he and his family have taken away power.
Mallana Sagar project
Even after independence, while Gandhi stayed apolitical Nehru took away power through elections. Now after the unfortunate and humiliating arrest of Kodandaram in Medak district during the protests against Mallana Sagar project, genuine Telangana agitators are feeling upset.
They now feel that KCR aka Telangana Nehru has insulted the real Gandhi of their state who took the final logical battle into towns and villages of the region. By arresting him, KCR government seems to have made a costly mistake! The coming days will see retaliations if any.
