Andhra Pradesh special status demand is leading to sparks flying in Parliament. It is known that Congress MP KVP.Ramachandra Rao introduced private bill in Rajya Sabha demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh. Ruling BJP after trying to prevent the bill and even failing to convince KVP to withdraw the bill,finally relented for discussion on it.
During the discussion, Venkaiah Naidu beat around the bush while TDP MPs much to the shock came in support of Venkaiah Naidu while Congress walked out of the house. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley categorically ruled out special status to Andhra Pradesh dashing the hopes of all.
This came as boon for opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh while putting CM Chandra Babu Naidu in a fix. Leaping on the golden opportunity, YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy blasted PM Modi and CM Chandra Babu Naidu. He said Modi is a criminal and Chandra Babu unfit to rule the state.
He called for AP bandh on August 2nd. He asked people of Andhra Pradesh to participate in the bandh and show their support for special status. He said the betrayal by PM Modi and CM Chandra Babu is affecting the future of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh.
