Finally there is some good news for the people and also the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after two years of record droughts. There have been massive rains in Maharashtra in the catchment areas of Krishna and Godavari rivers.

Narayanpur dams in Karnataka

This is now gushing down in the form of lakhs of cusecs of water that will be eventually heading down towards Telugu states. Already Vishnupuri on Godavari in Maharashtra and Alamatti and Narayanpur dams in Karnataka are filled to the brim.

 Sriram Sagar in Telangana

Now sources say that whatever water will be coming down, will be let into the two big Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar reservoirs in Telugu states. Even Nizam Sagar, Singur and Sriram Sagar in Telangana are expected to be filled. This is a very good sign for everyone.

This means that there will be no problems occurring majorly in the next one to one and half years with maximum crop output and ample drinking water. This is definitely a good news and the Central Water Commission has passed the same message to Telugu states.
