Shamshabad Airport is the shaan of Hyderabad and Rajiv Gandhi International airport is one of the world's most popular airport. For quite sometime Government officials and Railways have been considering option of having undergound railway link which is now stuck in dispute between various stake holders.
Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu after inaugurating two trains said one should explore the possibility of providing rail connectivity to Shamshabad international airport from Umdanagar through an underground rail network in consultation with the state government.
It is known that just couple of days back during Mission Bhageeratha launch,Telangana CM KCR lavished praises on PM Modi and his team of ministers.After praising all cabinet ministers and PM Modi for corrupt free governance, branded Suresh Prabhu as the most dynamic minister.
Now Railway Minister after launching two trains asked the state government and concerned officials to explore the possibility of underground rail ink to the Shamshabad airport. KCR too directed Metro Rail to link airport to the city.
The proposal is long pending and now that Suresh Prabhu himself asked officials to hold consultations with the state officials, there may be some movement and head start much to the delight of Hyderabadis.
