Hyderabad sources have stated that a 20 year old carpenter was arrested by the Neredmet police for attempting to rape a minor girl and on Sunday evening, Md Jaleel from Ambedkar Nagar in Neredmet lured a four year old girl from his neighborhood into his house by offering to give her a chocolate.
Neredmet inspector M Jagdish Chander has said that when Jaleel was about to force himself upon the girl, a teenager from the neighborhood has knocked on the door. Panicked Jaleel has opened the door and ran away.
It is stated that after the incident, the girl's father went to Jaleel's house and the latter's friends tried to attack them based on the complaint lodged by the girl's family members.
Meanwhile the police have booked a case against Jaleel under the POCSO Act and have arrested him. Meanwhile five friends of the accused, including one Naveen, were arrested for trying to assault the father of the victim.
