What we are going to convey might shell shock most of them. But this is for real and it is confirmed by a report by New World Health. India was ranked seventh among Top 10 Wealthiest countries in the World and it is United States which topped the chart.
With a total individual wealth of $5,600 billion, India stood at No. 7 in the list. Canada ($4,700 billion), Australia ($4,500 billion) and Italy ($4,400 billion) came in at 8th, 9th and 10th rankings respectively. China stood second in rankings with $17,400 billion and Japan stood third with $15,100 billion.
Wealth refers to net assets of a person. It includes all their assets -- property, cash, equities, business interests-- less any liabilities, the report said, adding that it excludes government funds from its figures.
The report said, India is in Top 10 wealthiest countries list due to its large population. Report said, Australia's ranking is so good considering its population which is just 22 Million. On the whole, China has the fastest growing wealthiest country.
