SP Minister Azam Khan is known for his controversial and insensitive comments. Sometime back he came with a shocker on Bulandshahr rape incident. Supreme Court of India today issued notice to Uttar Pradesh government and its Minister Azam Khan after hearing to the plea of the father of the victim.
Father of the victim approached supreme court to shift the case out of the state. Azam Khan suspected political conspiracy on Bulandshahr rape incident and Supreme Court called the statement "objectionable and insensitive".
Court questioned "Why should people in power and authority make such statement which shakes faith of victim in justice delivery system," Right after the shocking rape of a mother and daughter in Bulandshahr, Azam Khan asked investigative agencies to look into opposition party conspiracy.
He went on to add "To get power, politicians can get down to any level, they can murder people, trigger riots, kill innocent people, so the truth has to be found out ... The government needs to keep a watch on its political opponents because "people can stoop to any level" in politics,"
The person whose wife and daughter were gangraped last month on the highway in Bulandshahr went to Supreme court to transfer the case to Delhi and also sought lodging FIR against Azam Khan and other policemen.
On July 29, robbers stopped his car on high way and raped the woman and her daughter dragging them out of the vehicle on national high way. Even after Supreme Court notice, Azam Khan shocked all saying he will stick to the statement.
He said "I stand by whatever I said about the Bulandshahr rape case and will continue to do so in future as well," He went on to question "Had there not been a conspiracy then why would have only one political party taken exception to my comment? I never said that the accused should be spared."
