Sources from Hyderabad have stated that the Telangana government's decision to not change the fee structure for several post-graduate courses such as MTech, M Pharm and M Architecture has irked college managements, with many planning to move court over the matter.

A representative of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology has told that the government has failed to consider that we have not given increment to our teachers in last three years and the faculty members will be dissatisfied if they fail to provide them an increment for the next three years too and the government should have considered this and increased fees.

Syed Jamsheed, correspondent of a private college in Gajwel has stated that the TAFRC's recommendations on fee structure has been an exercise in futility as the government has not approved a decision taken by its own committee.

M. Kodandaram, chairman of Telangana Joint Action Committee has said if the government is unable to afford fee hike then it must put a cap on the reimbursement scheme so that colleges don't run into debt and effective implementation of the scheme is important to ensure equality and access in higher education.
