Many are wondering whether SIT can go after politicians having connections with the slain renagade maoist turned gangster Nayeem. This after CM KCR gave green signal to Speical Investigation Team (SIT) to go after politicians and officials having links with Nayeem.

Inside talk is CM KCR discussed SIT report on atrocities committed by Nayeem and involvement of his henchmen in various crimes like murders, assaults,land grabs and settlements with the tacit support of the politicians and officials. 


A source speaking to scribes revealed “The Chief Minister was briefed about the SIT investigation till date, and involvement of some politicians and officials with the renegade Naxal. Action is expected to be taken against some key persons after Ganesh Nimmajanam,”


However another source came with a completely different point of view stating  “The government is still in a dilemma. So far, 80 persons have been arrested in 72 cases and investigation is on by SIT in Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Nizamabad and other districts besides in states like Goa and Chhattisgarh where he allegedly parked money and bought properties.”

During SIT investigation many names like former-Telugu Desam minister Uma Madhava Reddy,deputy chairman of the Legislative Council, Nethi Vidyasagar, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar, Nakrekal TRS MLA Veeresham, former DGP and BJP leader V. Dinesh Reddy, retired IPS officers D.T. Naik and Tiwari, ex-ASP Shivananda Reddy and several others but all of them denied the allegations. 


Former Congress MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy had made allegations against TRS MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and had lodged a complaint in Lokayukta against him.

Nayeem's diary also triggered war of words between Opposition and TRS leaders, particularly of Bhongir and Nalgonda district, have been accusing each other of having links with Nayeem. Former DGP V. Dinesh Reddy was the first to deny having ever met Nayeem. Karne Prabhakar and Uma Mahadeva Reddy turned furious over rumours of their involvement and demanded strict action.

In the meantime SIT remained mum on the findings from the diary of Nayeem. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy promised not to interfere in th einvestigation.
