Special Status for Andhra Pradesh is increasing emotions of people of the state. However PM Modi's BJP government at the centre made clear at AP will not get special status. Instead union minister Arun Jaitley announced special package.
This triggered huge protests in Andhra Pradesh with opposition parties organising bandh. Jagan's YSRP and Congress party targeted CM Chandra Babu Naidu for his inaction on special status.
Pawawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena organised meetings in Tirupati and Kakinada and attacked BJP government and AP BJP leaders. Chandra Babu meantime accepted the package and decided to support whoever fights for special status.
In the meantime BJP leaders of the state started promoting AP special package organising press meets. Now BJP MLC Somu Veeraraju speaking to scribes said problem with the opposition parties is they didnot understand the greatness of the package.
He said Chandra Babu understood it and so welcomed the package. He said Jagan and Pawan didnot understand it. He added one neednot care about Pawan's criticism and added BJP will soon meet Pawan and explain the special package greatness.
He added Union Ministers will visit AP and findout more ways to help Andhra Pradesh with even more financial assistance.
